Terms of Service — FamilyWala
FamilyWala was formerly called Family Traditions Tree. Wherever these pages say FamilyWala, they mean the same app.
Last updated: October 19, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and RAJ CREATIONS LLC for using FamilyWala (the "app"). By creating an account, you agree to them.
1. Who can use this app
You must be 18 or older to create an account. By confirming this at sign-up, you're stating that you meet this requirement. A parent or guardian may add profiles for family members who are minors, but a minor may not create their own account.
2. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping access to your account secure.
- You can start using the app as a guest before adding a phone number. Once you add one — required before you can invite a family member — it must be your own real phone number, not someone else's.
- If we believe an account was created for someone who can't legally agree to these terms, or in violation of them, we may suspend or remove it.
3. What you can put in the app
You keep ownership of everything you upload — your photos, videos, recordings, and writing. By uploading it, you give us permission to store it and show it to the people you choose to share it with, and to nobody else. We don't claim any ownership over your content, and we don't use it for anything besides running the app for you and your family.
You agree not to upload anything that:
- You don't have the right to share (someone else's copyrighted work, for instance).
- Is illegal, threatening, or intended to harass another person.
- Impersonates someone or misrepresents who a family member is.
- Shows or promotes the abuse or sexual exploitation of a child or of an adult, or any sexual content involving a minor.
- Is hateful toward people because of who they are, or promotes terrorism or violence.
- Encourages suicide or self-harm.
- Violates someone else's privacy — for example, recording or sharing something about a real person without a reasonable basis to believe they'd be comfortable with it being shared with the people you're sharing it with.
4. Family trees and other people's information
Because this app is about families, you'll often be adding and writing about people who aren't the one using the app — parents, children, relatives who haven't joined. You're responsible for having a reasonable basis to do that (as a family member sharing family history) and for respecting a "private" or "only shared with specific people" setting when you add something sensitive, like a birth parent recorded separately from the parent shown in the tree.
If a real person asks to have their information removed from a tree they're part of, and they're a joined member, they can remove or edit it themselves. If they're not a joined member, contact us and we'll help.
5. Reporting, blocking and removal
- You can block anyone in your family tree. Blocking stops them from seeing what you share and from contacting you. You can also mute or hide a person's messages on your own screens.
- You can report a memory or a person from within the app. Reports may be reviewed, and content that breaks these terms may be removed and the account suspended or closed. We do not promise a time by which a report will be answered or acted on.
- The owner of a family tree may remove content or members from their own family tree.
- If you see something dangerous, contact your local emergency services first.
6. Subscriptions and storage plans
The app includes a free storage tier. Additional storage is available through auto-renewing subscriptions, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, at the price shown at the time of purchase. Apple and Google handle billing directly — refunds and payment disputes go through their standard policies, not through us.
If a subscription lapses or is cancelled, your storage limit returns to the free tier. Nothing you've already saved is deleted because of this — but you won't be able to add more until you're back under your new limit or you resubscribe.
7. Account closure and data deletion
You can close your account at any time from Settings. You'll have 90 days to change your mind before permanent deletion, or you can choose immediate deletion. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what that removes.
We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
8. No warranty
We built this app carefully, but we provide it "as is." We don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of it, to the extent the law allows us to limit that liability.
9. Changes to these terms
If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top and, where required, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
