Delete Your Account — FamilyWala
FamilyWala was formerly called Family Traditions Tree. Wherever these pages say FamilyWala, they mean the same app.
You can delete your FamilyWala account and data in two ways: directly in the app (fastest), or by emailing us if you no longer have the app installed.
Option 1: In the app
- Open FamilyWala and sign in.
- Tap Settings in the bottom navigation.
- Tap Close my account.
- Choose one:
- Close my account — schedules deletion in 90 days. Nothing is deleted immediately, and you can export a copy of everything first. Change your mind anytime in that window by returning to this screen and tapping Keep my account.
- Delete everything now — deletes your account and data immediately. This cannot be undone.
Option 2: No access to the app
Email support@usarajacreatortools.com from the address you'd like us to reply to, with the phone number tied to your account (or as much identifying detail as you can provide). We'll verify you're the account holder and process the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account itself (phone number, language and app settings).
- Your own profile in any family tree you were part of.
- Every photo, video, voice recording, and story you personally added or recorded.
- Your requests to connect with other people, the notices you received, and which messages you had hidden.
- Your name on the cards that were made in other people's trees when you joined or connected (the cards stay, without your name).
Deleting just one message
You don't have to close your account to remove something. Open the ... menu on a message you wrote and choose Delete for everyone. It disappears for everyone straight away and stays recoverable for 30 days under Settings > Deleted & hidden, after which it and its files are permanently deleted.
What's kept
- The family tree itself and other members' own content stay intact — deleting your account only removes what you personally contributed.
- A photo or recording you uploaded of another family member is kept, since it belongs to their profile, not yours.
See the full Privacy Policy for more detail on how your data is stored and handled before deletion.
